Meet Marijuana Pepsi Vandyck, a woman with an unforgettable name who doesn’t touch weed or soda. Her mom believed the name would make her famous—and it did, without any drugs involved.

Now 52 with a PhD, Marijuana Pepsi works at the Community College of Baltimore County and founded a center for change. Despite endless suggestions to change her name, she proudly sticks with it, correcting people who try to call her “Mary.”

Though she’s never smoked or sipped Pepsi, weed companies still try to partner with her. The takeaway? Sometimes owning your name is the ultimate power move!
