The regional beauty pageant in Altamira, Brazil, turned ugly when a contestant’s father shot at the judges after his daughter only got fourth place. Talk about a shocking performance!

On July 28, after the “II Baile da Escolha da Rainha” pageant, Sebastiao Francisco, a local rancher, was furious about his daughter’s placement. He thought she deserved the “mane” prize and decided to give the judges a piece of his mind – and a piece of lead.

Despite security and military police being present, Francisco pulled out a gun. The police, quicker on the draw, shot him before he could cause more harm. Francisco saw his daughter’s fourth-place finish as an insult and tried to take matters into his own hands but was stopped by the police. He was taken to the hospital but died from his wounds.

The packed hall erupted in chaos, with officers forced to fire to protect everyone present. Francisco managed to fire a couple of shots, injuring one other person who was also hospitalized.

This beauty pageant ended with more drama than expected, as the crown went to chaos instead of a contestant.
