Each year Ontario has a “Tree of the Year” completion, so basically a tree beauty pageant. Here in Saskatchewan not only do we have beautiful trees- we’ve also got plenty with “personality”. Think of all of the famous trees that could get recognized:

Located out by Hafford, there is a collection of world famous aspen that have earned the title of “crooked bush”.

Most twisted? Wildest direction to grow? So many awards these guys could win!

Out by Swift Current on Highway 4 there is the famous “lone tree”. How did it get there? Is it lonely? This tree is a bit of a celeb and if there was an award for most honked at, it would win easily.

Here in Saskatoon you may have seen a tree along Spadina… that uh surely deserves some recognition.
