Mother’s Day is May 12th, and that means no shortage of gift guides and recommendations. It was a headline that inspired what I’m getting Mom this year… “It now costs more to mail a letter after Canada Post raised the price of domestic stamps on Monday.” I couldn’t tell you the last time that I bought my own stamps, as I’ve always just “borrowed” some from my parents’ stash. It always feels like parents have a stash of stamps, so I figured this is the time to replenish it for once. Postage rates have gone up 7 cents per stamp, but Mom’s worth it.
